We strive to maintain a proactive environmental system that meets and exceeds requirements. The objectives are achieved through our Environmental System which outlines operating rules, procedures and activities to be carried out by Daktronics.

To reduce impart from our manufacturing  processes we maintain a chemical review system.  This system ensure highly hazardous chemicals are not used in processes.

  • Daktronics reduces impact by using:
    • Chemical recovery systems which allows for the reuse of chemical products
    • Powder coat processes which significantly reduce VOC emissions
  • PDCA processes that drive the innovation and collaboration that make change in our processes

We actively encourage and support time for employees to volunteer in community events and attend local seminars that cover and enhance our knowledge of environmental related elements. We’ have current engagements with the City of Brookings Sustainability Council,  Local Emergency Planning Commission, and All Ireland Pollinator Plan.

Daktronics has implemented several practices to reduce waste and reach short- and long-term environmental goals. Detailed documentation regarding the extent of our Environmental program can be provided upon request.
