Jeremy Johnson brings a wealth of experience to his role as Vice President at Daktronics, overseeing the success of several business units: Out of Home, which specializes in monetizing dynamic digital advertising in public spaces; On Premise, providing digital signs that enhance the digital experience for businesses and organizations on-site; and High School, Parks and Recreation, which focuses on video, scoreboards, campus communications, and civic sports and recreation centers. Jeremy collaborates with the leadership team to develop strategies that serve all stakeholders, implement those strategies, and measure performance.

In his most recent role as Business Development Manager, Jeremy was responsible for market management oversight for Out of Home, On-Premise, and High School, Parks and Recreation. He also led strategic Competitive Advantages planning and prioritizing initiatives for success, including growing collaboration with Architects, Engineers, and Consultants (AECs).

Previously, Jeremy served as Commercial Market Manager, Solutions Manager, Key Accounts Manager, Billboard Segment Manager, and Account Executive with a focus on new business development. These roles have equipped him with a deep understanding of customer verticals and internal processes, from product development to marketing, sales, and service.

Jeremy began his career at Daktronics as an intern in 1996 and transitioned to a full-time role in 1997. Over the years, he has played key roles in developing the regional approach to sales in the Commercial market and led the growth of the digital billboard space, ensuring broad acceptance of the technology by regulatory authorities. He also helped develop safety and lighting standards for the On Premise and Out of Home industries.

He is actively involved in several philanthropic endeavors, serving as an executive board member of the Brookings Economic Development Corporation (BEDC), a board member of the Academic Advisory Council for Signage Research & Education (ACSRE), and participating in various committees with the Outdoor Advertising Association of America (OAAA) and the International Sign Association (ISA). He is also active in his faith community at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish.

In his free time, Jeremy enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, hunting, and fishing, as well as woodworking and making improvements to his acreage.

Jeremy holds a business and economics degree with a computer science minor from South Dakota State University.
