Feed Creation Custom Headers Data Splitting Conditional Scheduling Authorization Methods
  • Data Sources often have more data than you need or want which can make creating content more difficult than needed.
  • When you create your feed, you can select the specific data element(s) that you desire.
  • Allows the user to set standard or custom parameters to communicate between Data Studio (client) and the source provider (server).

  • Data Splitting is a feature designed for scenarios like conference rooms or menu boards with large data sets that allows users to split the source up and send only the data needed for a particular display or location.

  • This allows users to save time by creating a single piece of content that can be played to all your displays at once with the right data being shown on the right display.

    • User doesn’t have to create a specific piece of content for every display.

  • Conditional Scheduling in Data Studio allows content to be played based on the value of data from a data source.  For example: a rule can be created that triggers an umbrella piece of content to show up only when a weather feed says it is raining.

Cloud Drive Security Notes

  • The integration uses limited read-only scopes and is granted by the owner of the spreadsheet, calendar or other cloud hosted files. 
  • Data Studio stores all OAuth 2.0 tokens securely in our cloud infrastructure. 
  • No user information is shared outside of this context, and only uses the email addresses to show who authorized the access.
  • Users can revoke Data Studio access at any time by deleting the source.
