Digital Signage Brings the Sizzle to Schuster Enterprises’ Burger King® Remodel
When Schuster Enterprises remodeled their Burger King location in Opelika, Alabama, they embraced the brand’s new “Sizzle” concept – a sleek, modern design that emphasizes technology, such as restaurant digital signage, and customer experience. A key feature of the remodel is a dynamic LCD video wall that greets customers at the front entrance and sets the tone for the entire visit.

Integrating an LCD Video Wall into the Sizzle Remodel
“The LCD video wall is a really big deal for us,” said Connor Stone, IT specialist at Schuster Enterprises. “It’s part of the BK Sizzle concept, which is a modern design that’s technology-forward. We’ve had a very positive reaction from customers. Everyone in our company loves the new display.”
Installed as part of the December 2024 remodel, the video wall is visible from the road and features a mix of local promotions and branded Burger King content. From sizzling Whoppers to refreshing Coke animations, the display captures attention and enhances the in-store experience.
A Modern Look That Drives Sales
“The remodel has had a big effect on sales – very positive,” Stone shared. “We can tell the difference when we put a local promo on any of our boards, sales go up on the item in the stores where we advertise on our boards. Updated content matters in sales.”
This boost in sales isn’t just anecdotal. It’s backed by a smart content strategy and the right tools to execute it. Schuster Enterprises relies on Daktronics Venus Control Suite to manage and schedule content across its network of displays, which consists primarily of outdoor LED Galaxy signs across multiple store locations. This ensures the right message reaches the right audience at the right time.
“We haven’t had any challenges with Venus Control Suite. It’s fairly simple once you get into it,” Stone said.
You can create a schedule, pick stores to run specific promos, or add promos to all of them or just a few of them. Or add content for just one store. It’s easy to manage.

Local Flavor, National Reach
From national promotions to hyper-local specials, Schuster Enterprises uses digital signage to connect with customers in meaningful ways.
“We run promotions, job openings, and highlight unique offerings like our biscuits and gravy made from scratch every day,” Stone explained. “We also have custom croissants and iced coffee specials specific to our stores.”
The flexibility of digital signage allows the team to update content instantly, avoiding the pitfalls of static signage.
Digital saves a lot of time, and it’s easy to use,” Stone said. “We can change content on the fly from anywhere – we don’t even have to be in the same state.
"With static, people can make mistakes, like misspelling ‘croissant’ or leaving out a period so it looks like something costs $500 instead of $5.00.”
A Clear Recommendation
For Schuster Enterprises, digital signage is more than just a visual upgrade – it’s a strategic business tool.
I’d absolutely recommend digital to anyone considering it. We do it with every remodel or new store, which should tell you something. Our owner sees a lot of benefit.
As Burger King continues to roll out its Sizzle concept nationwide, Schuster Enterprises is leading the way with a commitment to innovation, customer engagement, and operational efficiency, powered by indoor and outdoor digital signage.
