Hands-On Learning and Big Ideas: Highlights from the 2025 High School Video Summit
At Daktronics, we believe in the power of hands-on learning and the impact of real-world experience. That’s why we were thrilled to host our 7th Annual High School Video Summit, a nationwide event that brought together 331 attendees across 14 host sites for a day of collaboration, creativity, and community.

A Day of Learning and Inspiration
Across the US, educators and industry professionals gathered to explore the latest in live event production. With an average of 18 participants per location, the summit created an intimate, hands-on environment where ideas were shared, and connections were made.
“The High School Video Summit is one of my favorite events of the year,” said Kyle Sydow, Daktronics High School Market Manager.

Industry Experts & Student Voices
This year’s agenda featured powerhouse presentations from professionals representing the Minnesota Twins and experienced employees with experience working with the Miami Heat, and Miami Dolphins, alongside experienced high school production teams. Topics included:
- Keynote: “Twins Win! You Betcha!” – Sam Henschen, Minnesota Twins
- Streaming and Control Room Best Practices
- Content Creation and Game-Day Scripting
- Monetizing Moments Through Sponsorship and Marketing
High school contributors also took the spotlight, sharing their own insights:
- “How to Make Videoboards Work in Your School” – Jenny Wagner, Centennial Public School
- “Content Creation Tips” – JB Starkey, Sturgis High School
- “Game Day Scripting” – Michael Logan, Prosper ISD
I learned a lot of new things about my setup at Lincoln Park and am excited to try some new things. It helped make my first year in my new position successful.

Celebrating Student Excellence
This year marked the debut of the DakClassroom Student Showcase Awards, honoring outstanding creativity, teamwork, and technical skill in student-led productions. These awards highlight the incredible impact students and instructors have on game-day experiences across the country.
